Swedish Torch - "Blast furnace" style
Update number four on the ongoing swedish torch project. This time, i got my first one burning .......... for a short amount of time at least.....
It's still _WAY_ to wet to burn nicely ..... but well, while i need to sort out some problems with the drill extension anyways, i'm thinking about artificially drying the wood somehow...
At least, i got way enough fuel for some lots of days with lots of heat now.... ;)

Third update to the ongoing swedish torch project.
I finally got one done in 'Blast furnace style'.. Drilling 13cm deep with 3,5cm width is not really fun... Going on to this task with my cordless drill wasn't my brightest idea either.....
But well, first i had to organize the tools (aka drills) for this endeavor anyways.
But it's done!! Mkay, at least, the first one.... Easily 8 or so to follow.
*sigh* ;)
Second round of making swedish torches.
This time, i decided to first cut some nice pieces of wood to get them done later, so i sorted through the pile and got me some 10 or so readily cut pieces.. After that, there was not that much good reachable wood on the pile anymore and i got down to saw some torches ready for drying and use...
So i in the end got a nice pile of ready cut swedish torches now ... and a smaller pile of cut pieces to drill out with a wood drill later on for some blast-furnace style torches..
Now i wonder how long i might have to maybe cut more pieces over time.. We're waiting for some farmer coming with his tractor and a big shredder to get rid of all that wood.... ;)
At least, we now have enough swedish torches for easily 2 years of barbeque fun. ;)

So far for the endeavor to #DIY some swedish torches from the remains of the trees...
let's say, it works well when you have a chainsaw at hand..
I just had to stop as i ran out of chainsaw oil and power.. Meaning myself in the latter one.
But _hey_! I got the spoons together to get myself clothed, grab the chainsaw and at least make some few torches before i had enough and called it a day....
In the meantime, my landlord writes me, he put some additional oil into the staircase/entry area... muh ... no thx, tomorrow maybe.
As you can see ...... there are a LOT of swedish torches to make. ;)
