YirmYâ ́huw writes a letter to the captivity

1. And these are the words of the writing that YirmYâ ́huw sent from Yruwshâláim to the elders of the captivity and to the priests and to the preachers and a letter to all of the people that (Nvúwkhathne’tsTsár) took captive (from Yruwshâláim) into Bâvél 2. after the departure of YkhânYâ ́hu the king and the queen-mother and the ministers of state, the officers (of Yâhuwthâ ́h and Yruwshâláim), and the skilled craftsmen and the smiths from Yruwshâláim, 3. By the hand of ’El'âsâ ́h the son of Shâphâ ́n, and GmarYâ ́hu the son of ChilqiyYâ ́huw, whom TsithqiyYâ ́huw the king of Yâhuwthâ ́h sent to (Nvúwkhathne’tsTsár) the king of Bâvél in Bâvél, saying: 4. "Thus says Yâ-hwéh the Power of Yisrâ’ë ́l to (all of) the exiles that I caused to be exiled from Yruwshâláim (into Bâvél): 5. Build houses and dwell, and plant gardens and eat their fruits, 6. And take ye wives and procreate sons and daughters, and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands (so they may have sons and daughters) and increase there and do not decrease; 7. And seek the peace of the land to which I have exiled you and pray for them to Yâ-hwéh because in her peace there shall be peace for you, 8.Because thus says Yâ-hwéh: Do not let your preilluminators that are among you and your diviners deceive you, and do not listen to your dreams which ye cause yourselves to dream, 9. Because it is by a Lie they are preaching to you in My name, I did not send them, 10. Because thus says Yâ-hwéh, "When seventy years of Bâvél are on the verge of being completed, I shall pay attention to you and I shall confirm for you My good words to bring your people back to this place; 11. And I am the One Who am planning about you plans of peace and not for evil, to grant these to you, 12. And (ye will call upon Me when you will come and) ye will pray to Me and I shall listen to you; 13. And when you seek to find Me, then ye shall find, when you carefully seek Me with all of your heart; [Proverbs 8:17, MattithYâ ́huw 7:7, Luwqá’ 11:9] 14. Then I shall appear95 for you," [Yâhuwchânâ ́n's Glad Tidings 14: 21-23] 15. As ye might say "Yâ-hwéh raised up for us preilluminators in Bâvél," 16. () 17. () 18. () 19. () 20. () 21. Thus says Yâ-hwéh concerning ’Achâ ́’v (the son of QowlâYâ ́hu) and concerning TsithqiyYâ ́huw "Look! I am giving them into the hand of (Nvúwkhathne’tsTsár) the king of Bâvél, and he shall slay them before your eyes; 22. And a curse shall be obtained from them for all of the captivity of Yâhuwthâ ́h that is in Bâvél, saying: "May Yâ-hwéh do to you as TsithqiyYâ ́huw and like ’Âchâ ́v who the king of Bâvél roasted in the fire," 23. because of the folly which they worked in Yisrâ’ë ́l, and they committed adultery with the wives of their neighbors and they dictated a message in My name, (a Lie) which I did not command them, and I am Witness," declares Yâ-hwéh, 24. "And to Shma'Yâ ́huw the Nechelâmíy you shall speak, saying: 25. "I did not send you in My name, (due to the fact that you are who sent by your name letters to all of the people that are in Yruwshâláim,) even to TsphanYâ ́hu the son of Ma'asëYâ ́hu the priest (and to all of the priests,) saying: 26. "Yâ-hwéh, He has appointed you priest in the place of Yâhuwyâthâ ́ the priest, to become overseers in the house of Yâ-hwéh against any man who is mad and preilluminating under the influence of an evil spirit, then you shall put him to the stocks and to the dungeon. 27. And now, for what reason haven't you reprimanded YirmYâ ́huw the Annthothíy the one making himself a preilluminator to you? 28. Because he has sent to us concerning this in Bâvél, saying: "It is a long time. Build houses and dwell and plant gardens and eat their fruits." 29. And TsphanYâ ́hu did read this letter in the ears of YirmYâ ́huw. 30. Then the Word of Yâ-hwéh was towards YirmYâ ́huw, saying: 31. "Send to all of the exile, saying, "Thus says Yâ-hwéh concerning Shma'Yâ ́huw the Nechelâmíy: Due to the fact that Shma'Yâ ́huw preilluminated to you though I am not Who sent him and he made you trust on a Lie, 32. therefore thus says Yâ-hwéh: Look! I am reckoning upon Shma'Yâ ́huw (the Nechelâmíy) and upon his seed, there shall not exist one of his dwelling among this people to see the goodness that I am working for My people, they shall not see it."
