An excellent recap on the unification of #japan and how Edo (Tokyo) became the capital.
Edo castle is impressive. Even if you can see it only from the outside if you don't have an appointment with the Emperor ;), the sheer size is astonishing. I mean, it's still the residence of the emperor's family.
I really like the wisdom of the Tokugawa that he knew how many books and education were and are still important.
