Edo castle is impressive. Even if you can see it only from the outside if you don't have an appointment with the Emperor ;), the sheer size is astonishing. I mean, it's still the residence of the emperor's family.
I really like the wisdom of the Tokugawa that he knew how many books and education were and are still important.

Tomoe Gozen, likely the most famous Onna-Bugeisha in history, fought in the Genpei War (1180-1185), serving as principal commander in several battles. A fierce fighter, Gozen led 300 female samurai into battle against 2,000 enemies and was one of only five warriors to survive.
