Memorable sci-fi space book series

What are your cherished reading series in the science fiction genre where the story unfold in space?

These are my top pick of the moment:

Imperial Radch (trilogy) – by Ann Leckie
Consists of the books; Ancillary Justice, Ancillary Sword and Ancillary Mercy.
Brilliant original story and world setting, densely packed with lots of twists and turns. Bonus for the best and most unique character ever; Presger’s Translator Zeiat (who initially believed is was Translator Dlique, but Dlique had died, ahem an understandable confusion…!)

The Expanse – by James S.A. Corey
Consists of the books; Leviathan Wakes, Caliban’s War, Abaddon’s Gate, Cibola Burn, Nemesis Games, Babylon’s Ashes, Persepolis Rising, Tiamat’s Wrath and Leviathan Falls.
Entertaining and catching story, interesting world building set fairly realistic in our solar system. The protomolecule became the character that made the story, its intrigues and mystery so enjoyable.

Remembrance of Earth’s Past (trilogy) – by Cixin Liu
Consists of the books; The Three-Body Problem, The Dark Forest and Death’s End.
This one didn’t hold back. First contact story that serve as a warning. The setting unfolds nicely, it expands a lot and take you places you did not imagine your mind would go. Great original story.
The dark forest hypothesis will give you lots to think about, as such, it serve as a great “character” in this saga.

Bonus mention:
I did enjoy The Murderbot Diaries – by Martha Wells
Funny and original. a self-hacked cyborg-like construct SecUnit stuck with an introvert personality, makes for many funny, odd and awkward yet kick-ass situations.
