2005-09-21 At the Garabit viaduct, cycling around the Truyère valley
The Garabit Viaduct (French Viaduc de Garabit) is a steel railway bridge that spans the dammed Truyère river valley in France. (-> Truyère, Garabit viaduct)
In autumn 2005 we used our holiday in France to stay at Garabit Hôtel for a few days and to cycle around the river valley on racing bikes. I reconstructed the track shown below later using Brouter (-> exportable track), because I didn't have a navigation system suitable for bicycles at the time. The route spans around 50 km with 1000 meters of altitude gain.
