You trust your government, but your government needs money. That's why you pay taxes. At the same time they need to give you something back. Jobs, infrastructure, services.

Problem is: These come from companies and corporations. They get paid by you as well as by the government to do this. WAIT the government has no money! They need your taxpayer money. So they are spending your money on companies and corporations, while you too are spending money on goods and services of companies and corporations. Who wins here? The richest corporations have more money than the US government and other countries combined. Guess who's paying. Still think they don't have any conflict of interests?

Now guess who has more power than your government right now. This is what you call a vulnerability.
