Thinking that, cool as it is, I’m likely to hurt myself pretty badly on the DIY Onewheel I was considering making. I’ve also seen people riding them and they are kind of so and, at least where I live, I could really only use one to play around, rather than as actual transportation. Since a big goal was to have an excuse to learn motor control, maybe a custom ebike controller might be a better idea.

It would be neat to see how well I could emulate a torque sensor’s capabilities using a cadence sensor, a speed sensor, and an accelerometer to measure inclination. Wanted to convert my old bike which I keep in Maine at my GF’s place now. Scooter style seat would be another addition, as I find I really like that feature of my ebike. #bonybutt #ebike #electronics #diy
