PART II. The Descent of the Anointed into sh’ówl

The Glad Tidings of Nikódemos 17

New and sensational declarations of Yâhuwçë´ph of Râmâtháyim

  1. And Yâhuwçë´ph arose and said unto ChananYâ´huw and Qayë´phâ’: "Truly and of right do ye marvel because ye have heard that Yâhuwshúa` has been seen alive after death, and that He has ascended into heaven. But yet ye will marvel more that He did not arise alone from the dead, but that He did raise up alive many other dead out of their sepulchers, and those have been seen by a great number of people in Yruwshâláim. And now hearken unto me, for we all know that blessed Shim'ówn, the high priest which received the child Yâhuwshúa in his hands in the temple. And this Shim'ówn had two sons; brothers of both father and mother, and we all were present at their falling asleep and attended their burial. Go therefore and look upon their sepulchers: for they are open, because they have risen, and look, they are in the city of Râmâtháyim dwelling together in prayer. And they embraced them, with all reverence and in the fear of the Power and they brought them to Yruwshâláim into the assembly. And as soon as they shut the doors, they took the Law of Yâ-hwéh and put it into their hands, and adjured them by the Sovereign Yâ-hwéh, even the Power of Yisrâ’ë´l which spoke unto our fathers by the preilluminators, saying: "If ye know Who it is that raised you from the dead, tell us how ye have arisen from the dead." 3. And when Karinus and Lúkius heard this adjuration, they trembled in their body and groaned, being troubled in heart. And looking up together unto heaven they made the seal of the gallows-cross with their fingers upon their tongues, and forthwith they spoke, both of them, saying: "Give us each a scroll of paper, and let us write that which we have seen and heard." And they gave them unto them, and each of them sat down and wrote, saying: (To be continued in Chapter 18).
