As we are walking into the last hour of Iranian New year, ending a year that destroyed the lives of so many and it's scars will be visible for years to come, I'm listening to the most symbolic music of our new year celebration.

Koodakaneh (Childishness) is the name of the legendary pop singer Farhad who created the most amazing song that describes the feeling every child in Iran felt in the weeks, days and moments before the "sal tahvil" or "hand over moment" when the old year ends and the new year starts.

The anticipations, the smells, the excitements and all the things that used to make our Norooz memorable. The smell of hyacinth, the dancing of the gold fish in the bowl of water and the joy of wearing the nicest clothes we had.

I see if I. An find the translation of the lyrics and post it here. In the mean time, listening to it feeling like a kid again, nostalgic and sad as I spend yet another new year alone.

As the old tradition goes, families who lost a loved one, visit their grave on the last day of the Iranian new year.

Victims of IRIs brutal crackdown of protests and uprising in the past 6 month, gather in cemeteries, decorating the graves of their children and putting the traditional #HaftSin on their graves to include them in the sad ending of the year 1401.

Regime forces have chosen not to disrupt the mourning families, but there are a large number of police and security forces visible in cemeteries all over the country.
