Breaking News : Egyptian authorities have presented a mechanism for the de-escalation that would both insure a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza strip and the return of Israeli detainees to Israel.
Israel has not rejected the proposal, and is supposed to review it in an official capacity on the 25th of December, while the response of Palestinian officials from Hamas and the PIJ is not noted - they were there in Cairo during the talks.
The Egyptian proposal includes "one or two weeks of ceasefire" in exchange for the release of 40 Israeli women, as well as any men above the age of 60 + the ones in dire medical need.
Thus concludes the first stage - the second stage involves an exchange of all bodies between the Palestinian and Israeli side, moving into the third stage - includes an All for All deal - all Israeli military personnel in captivity in exchange for the release of all Palestinians in Israeli prisons, followed by an Israeli withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
PS. This could have been done in early October without 20000 Palestinians killed. No way Isrsel will agree or accept these terms.

According to Al-Jazeera the list of 300 Palestinians eligible for release under the truce deal comprises 33 women and a majority of boys aged 16-18. However, there are boys as young as 14 on the list.
Most detainees haven't been tried by a court (WSJ), many of which are in administrative detention (no charge, no time limit), while others have been convicted of crimes. The maximum is attempted murder. Many offenses are “carrying knives”, “threatening security”, “illegally entering Israel without a permit”, “supporting terrorism” and “throwing stones”. In July, the organisation Save the Children said that “the main alleged crime for these detentions [of minors] is stone-throwing, which can carry a 20-year sentence in prison for Palestinian children”.
