Lisa Grande, the Biden administration's Middle East aid envoy, reportedly demanded that Israel clarify its humanitarian policy in Gaza during a phone call with Ghassan Alian, head of the Israeli military body responsible for Palestinian civil affairs (Cogat), Israel's Channel 12 reported.

Grande insisted Israel publicly declare it is not following a policy of deliberately starving Palestinians in Gaza. She also called for the cancellation of evacuation orders for civilians, allowing them to return home, and for a detailed plan to protect civilian infrastructure.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu will most likely not attend next month's ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of #Auschwitz concentration camp in #Poland, fearing arrest under a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita reported on Friday.

According to the report, Israeli authorities did not even request the prime minister's attendance in the ceremony, and Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Bartoszewski has reiterated the country's commitment to respecting the decisions of the #ICC.

On Nov. 21, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Higgins condemned Israel’s labeling of #Dublin as “antisemitic” after it announced its support for the #Palestinian people, stressing that it is dangerous to label a state as such merely for disagreeing with the #Israeli Prime Minister.

The comment came after Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar branded Higgins an antisemite amid the ministry’s decision to close the Israeli embassy in Dublin.

The problem with the #Israel government shouting #Antisemitism at everything they don't like, is that when the real thing comes along, it can go unnoticed. Sadly, many #Palestine supporters and other #left folk dismiss any charge of antisemitism rather than engaging with the problem.

Accusing #Netanyahu of committing #war crimes is not antisemitic. However, the events targeting the Jewish community in #UEA over the past year were clearly antisemitic, and culminated this week in the abduction and murder of a young rabbi.

BREAKING NEWS: Judges at the International Criminal Court ( #ICC) have issued #arrest warrants for Israel’s prime minister and former defence minister, as well as Hamas's military commander.

A statement said a pre-trial chamber had rejected Israel’s challenges to the court’s jurisdiction and issued warrants for Benjamin #Netanyahu and Yoav #Gallant.

A warrant was also issued for Mohammed Deif, although the Israeli military has said he was killed in an air strike in Gaza in July.

The judges found “reasonable grounds” that the three men bore "criminal responsibility" for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity during the war between Israel and Hamas. Both Israel and #Hamas have rejected the allegations.
