Many have concluded the tree, like most of the town, is gone, forever.
Some (self incuded) put some hope into the fact that it has so many huge roots, under ground and pavement...
And the truth? There is hope, and a guardian-angel arborist, who assesses the damage and is nurturaing from roots to charred branches. Thin-slice: She's hopeful for some buds in a few months, after restoring sap and emerging from shock....
