Das war wieder nicht geplant und die Tierärztin hat es angekündigt. Neue Hühner kommen von alleine. Das ist die erste Begegnung meiner Hühner mit Mary, die letzte Überlebende eines Marderangriffs. Ein Bielefelder Kennhuhn.

Ich musste mir von meinen Hühnern lange Schimpftiraden anhören, dass ich eine fremde Henne gebracht habe. Katja und Lotte haben sie in der Voljere gemeinsam gehackt. Da halten sie zusammen. Franzi und Gurdun haben nur gemeckert.

Dafür war der Johahn sehr begeistert. Er hat die Henne umtanzt und stolz gekräht.

Das werden jetzt erst mal wieder schwierige Wochen, bis Mary sich eingewöhnt hat.
