They would soon build an advanced, dynamic society that inspired millions around the globe, helping power anticolonial revolutions from Asia to Latin America.
A revolution, like many others turned into a bloody totalitarian regime but it also gave liberty, justice, equality and education to millions of people across the globe.
It is important to celebrate the revolution and it's successful results, but also to remember that without accountability and democracy, any system turns into a dictatorship.
