Gaze changers: the story of female street photography – in pictures | Art and design | The Guardian

Throughout the 20th century street photography proved more welcoming to women than other art forms – and has been was rewarded with an explosion of daring, perceptive and radical projects

This exhibition is in New York, but one of the photographers, Helen Levitt, has her own exhibition in London's Photographers Gallery until the 13th of February. I've seen it and it's well worth a visit, IMO.

Images of India: from courtesans and colonial rule to a child’s-eye view – in pictures | Art and design | The Guardian

Since its invention in the 1840s, photography has played an integral part in Indian art history. Although it is often said that India is the most photographed country in the world, the history of its representation is more complicated, and more political, than initially meets the eye. Visions of India: From the Colonial to the Contemporary is the first major survey of Indian photography in Australia and will be on show at the Monash Gallery of Art in Melbourne until 20 March 2022

Discovering Hong Kong photographer Nancy Sheung – in pictures | Culture | The Guardian

The first UK exhibition devoted to the sculptural work of pioneering Hong Kong photographer Nancy Sheung is at the Photo Oxford Festival. Often focused on female subjects and characterised by strong shapes and patterns, Line and Texture: the Photography of Nancy Sheung is at the Hamlin Gallery, St Hugh’s College until 15 November

Some of these photos are reminiscent of Fan Ho. I wonder if they knew of each others' work.
