Gold coin proves 'fake' Roman emperor was real
Archaeologists have discovered the first skeletons of hanged people in two-century-old hanging places near Harzgerode and Quedlinburg (both in the Harz district). “This is the first excavation of this kind in Saxony-Anhalt,” said archaeologist Marita Genesis of the German News Agency. “In addition, there were several iron and blue glass beads on the ground near Harzgerode.”
Each tree may have three oak posts attached with stones in deep holes. Beams several meters long, called Rähne, connected the pillars. Seven to eight people can be hanged at the same time in this construction. “According to the appearance of that time, those condemned to be hanged were not honored and were not allowed to be buried in the graves in the holy land,” said Genesis.

Finding out that the Palace was home to some of the earliest (if not THE earliest) domestic cats in Britain, that's what. pic.twitter.com/Q4o4o2R4Ui
