Double Rainbow #2

Probably the most spectacular rainbow I've seen, and the most persistent too - it was visible for well over 10 minutes.
I was lucky: after I had taken several shots with my standard zoom which is only moderately wide at its widest setting, I dug out my wide-angle - but the rainbow had faded considerably. Just as I was about to give up, it returned with a vengeance, much brighter than before :-)

Parklife

It's been a wonderful month of June, I wish every year could have a month like this, especially for the return of one of the most important events we had to give up for the pandemic. @irf@diaspora.psyco.fr was a blast, not only for the music (pure magic certainly) but also for coming back to the social spaces we belong.
So much isolation so far, now it's time to bring back life in our cities.

VESTIGES OF BRUTALISM

CHOI SO-YOUNG

CHOI SO-YOUNG

Choi So-Young is a #Korean contemporary #artist who uses discarded #denim, off-cuts and clothing details to produce vibrant #landscapes and #urban environments. Her compositions, formed from a medley of pockets, seams and zips, in conjunction with acrylic, lay the foundations for alleyways, highrises and vistas.

Like a game of Where’s Wally, it becomes more and more rewarding to see what you can spot: a backpocket with creases like a river’s wave; a bleached twill that reaches into the sky like a cloud-covered mountain; or simply a belt buckle balcony, resting static and unassuming in a dense Korean #cityscape.
