The Birds
It sure felt like a scene from Hitchcock's film as the air grew thick with birds swooping down to line the branches of a big old tree. Crows. They sure make a racket like the egrets at the nearby rookery. This is right on the Gulf of Mexico, SW FL.

Even with all the squawking, the sound of a lone mourning dove is unmistakeable.

A little after #sunset and the #NewMoon at #dusk is approaching the #western #horizon, with #Earthshine illuminating the "dark" side. There's also #Venus there and, if you look very closely, you can also see #Saturn to the bottom right of the #planet. Add in a wisp of #cloud, an #aeroplane and its #contrail in the mid distance, #trees and a #house nearby and finish it off with a #sky turning from smoothly from deep #orange to a dark #blue and you end up with rather a nice collage. I used a #tripod to get a good #photograph here.
Two #photographs taken at #dusk. The first is just before #sunset with a #house and #trees in the #foreground in #silhouette. I like the #LensFlare in this #image.
The next was taken about a quarter of an hour later when the #Sun had passed over the #horizon. This illuminates to #clouds nicely. You can also see an #aeroplane and its short #contrail too.

#Jupiter is visible at #dusk at the moment and so here it is. I've labelled the following A: #SigmaAquarii, for orientation, J: Jupiter, G: #Ganymede, E: #Europa, C: #Callisto and you can just see I: #Io as a bulge to the bottom right of Jupiter itself. If you take an #overexposed #photograph of the #Moon, you may often notice a dark #halo around its #perimeter. This #evening's #Picture was taken at #dusk and the #sky was still quite light despite the deep blue it looks here with this exposure. It was taken almost exactly 36 hours before the next #FullMoon.
Here is a much faster #exposure where the sky appears black. This one is cropped.

Am terribly pleased with the new camera on the new phone. The old Moto #Z2F would have screwed the low light scene. Now I need to test the #opencamera and #vignette apps too sometime.
A couple of nights ago, I mentioned that I spotted #Venus looking out #westwards. Well here's final incontrovertible proof that the #planet exists!
The first image is taken with an #exposure #time of 1 s and hence things look very bright even thought it was taken at #twilight.
A couple of minutes later, it was both getting darker and I used an exposure time of 1/4 s.
