OpenBSD — like Linux (kernel.org) — has full control of its code; a mirror in #GitHub (in theory everybody can create one, but that mirror can be disregarded completely) would add nothing of practical value to the #OpenBSD project or its technical integrity • Techrights ⚓ http://techrights.org/2022/01/31/openbsd-and-microsoft-github/#Techrights #BSD #UNIX | ♾ Gemini address: gemini://gemini.techrights.org/2022/01/31/openbsd-and-microsoft-github/

In spite of clear misuse of code and of copyrights, some people are trying to export #OpenBSD to #Microsoft ; maybe they're ill-equipped with facts, so here's a much-needed (and very timely) discussion of some of the issues at stake • Techrights ⚓ http://techrights.org/2022/01/31/autonomy-of-free-software/#Techrights #BSD #UNIX | ♾ Gemini address: gemini://gemini.techrights.org/2022/01/31/autonomy-of-free-software/

Hello there, Diaspora, new user here, interested in #NetBSD #OpenBSD (BSD in general, as I prefer to use them wherever possible). What I would like to do here is to use #Diaspora as a kind of a diary, instead of updating my pretty static webpage. Will see how it’ll go.

Also, I have selected a #german pod because my goal for 2022 is to learn a bit more german.
