This is it, the one last #bike path #construction project here in the south part of #Ottawa. According to the contractor this bike path should get its final stone dust surface applied this week, on top of the existing gravel. The pathway runs from the south part of the built-up area of the city all the way south to #Osgoode and is actually part of the Osgoode Link Pathway. I'll post updates if and when it gets finished.

Here is today’s update on our #bike path connection #construction here in the south end of #Ottawa. This will join the #Osgoode Link Pathway to the Sawmill Creek Wetlands Pathway, making one continuous path from the village of Osgoode to #Quebec.

Despite lots of heavy equipment and noise, the amount of work today seems pretty minimal. I am hoping this is finished this week, though.

It is coming along well well. The old retaining wall has been 100% torn down. Not sure whey the steel plate is needed, but I assume that they will repair the asphalt there under it, that the front end loader ripped up.

Some photos from our #bike trip today, 53 km round trip to the village of #Osgoode for lunch at the new takeout restaurant, Fry 2 Go. Food was good and the trip was wonderful as always on the Osgoode Link Pathway. Temperature 27°C, humidex 30° and almost zero wind all day long. This trip should get better this summer if the Stage 2 rail project ever gets our bike path finished. When that happens we won;t need to bike on any roads at all to do this trip.
