The #bike path crossing of the #Osgoode Link Pathway at Lester Road in #Ottawa is now semi-operational. The pedestrian crossing lights work although the #bicycle crossing lights are not yet in service.

We did a drive by the #Osgoode Link Pathway at Leitrim in south #Ottawa today to see if the #bike path crossing had been completed. The answer was "no". Maybe by April?

Another #Ottawa #Osgoode Link Pathway #bike path #construction update for today. This is at the High Road Bridge crossing, where the brand new asphalt was removed a week ago. Other than tarps being laid down, no work has been completed in the last week.

With a forecast of 10°C (50°F), sunshine (it actually reached 13°C (55°F)), so we decided to take the #Osgoode Link Pathway and bike down to Osgoode village itself for #pizza today. 48 km (30 miles) covered in the sunshine!

Here is my Monday update on the #construction work on the #Osgoode Link Pathway. They finally got the northern-most 2 km section completed and we were able to at least bike that far this morning. It looks like next they will be installing the bike crossing lights at the road intersection, as the ground detectors have already been wired in. That means that we will just have to pull up on our bikes and the lights will flash for crossing, I think.

The pathway is still blocked 2 km further south, waiting for the ground work to be finished on the crossing lights there.

It is Friday so I was just checking on this weeks' #construction work on the #Osgoode Pathway, hoping that the last 500 m of stone dust surface finishing would be complete. I went down and found that nothing at all has been done this week. All the piles of materiel are still sitting there, just no work done at all. The northern portion is all finished and that is it.

@dailyjoy@diasp.org and I did a 53 km #bike trip to #Osgoode today for #pizza! It was a lovely ride with a temperature of 5°C (42°F). The pizza was worth the trip, too.

There were quite a lot of people out on the pathway, biking and walking.

It seems that there is more ditch work yet to be completed on the #Osgoode Link Pathway. Using heavy equipment they have managed to re-profile 400 m of ditches so far. Hopefully the final pathway finish of stone dust will be here soon.

We biked down to check out the progress and found that the very south connection to the #Osgoode Link Pathway has been finished with its stone dust surface. They seem to be working north from there, so more photos as it gets completed.
