#picnic

Some photos from a Valentine's Day trek with my sweetie, @Kathryn Barr. As it was too warm for skiing, we set out to do a #snowshoe trip of 7 km instead from P15 in #Gatineau #Park to Healy Cabin for a #picnic lunch. The trail was so melted, refrozen and hard-packed that we ended up just walking most of the way there and only used our #snowshoes on the way back to take a shortcut and traverse an open field in the Meech Valley.

"Sunday picnic"

The rules of the game are simple - choose a photo (preferably your own), edit with gimp and tag #sundaygimp on a Sunday ;-) … and follow the tag.

#sundaygimp

(and also #Sunday-photo-edit )

Note: if you do not use gimp, but still want to play along, just use the tag #Sunday-photo-edit and edit the images with your favorite image editor

Today it reached +15°C, so we did our first #bike #picnic to Hartwell's Locks on the Rideau Canal in #Ottawa. We found a bench in the sunshine and had some supper there.

Here are a few photos I took of the canal itself - not at its most picturesque at this time of year.
