@Kathryn Barr got to try out her new (warranty replacement) #snowshoes today as we did a short tramp in the #Ottawa greenbelt. The new snowshoes worked great and we saw some interesting ice formations, too.

Some photos from a Valentine's Day trek with my sweetie, @Kathryn Barr. As it was too warm for skiing, we set out to do a #snowshoe trip of 7 km instead from P15 in #Gatineau #Park to Healy Cabin for a #picnic lunch. The trail was so melted, refrozen and hard-packed that we ended up just walking most of the way there and only used our #snowshoes on the way back to take a shortcut and traverse an open field in the Meech Valley.
