Scam, scam, scam and scammy shitloads of money

Scam email? Stay safe everyone.

Back in the day when sender blacklisting was a thing (think around 1999/2000) spam was just annoying. A static list of a few dozen entries was enough! And educating family.

Then came a time when I was tasked mailserver admin, strong 4-digit count of accounts and ever more antispam sophistication in my hands. In the background it was an arms race on all sides. That is part of why I delegated the task.

These days, much of the spam I still receive is aimed to create complications elsewhere, i.e. outside of the actual email. Money transfer of fantastic sums per day are promised in order to lure victims, just type the transfer number into $money_service_du_jour.

But once you show up at their office with your passport trouble starts. Here, just in case, find how all that works. There's even a standing gallery of the fake documents used.
