Due to the impending shutdown of #JoinDiaspora, I have yet again to move pods. My new home is at technozid@pod.dapor.net effective immediately. I will keep technozid@pluspora.com as a fallback-account.
It's rather sad - I was smong the first backers of the Diaspora project, and in turn got early access to this pod here. Seeing it end is not nice, but life is eternal change, it seems.

Profile Archives
I'm archiving my public posts at Archive.org's Wayback Machine. That captures the post text but not comments.
This process is automated and fairly easy.
I'm also archiving a selection of more significant posts at Archive.Today, which captures full comments. Those may be either via the joindiaspora.com domain or the diaspora.glasswings.com domain. This process is manual and requires individually submitting items. It is also generating notifications for any participants in old threads, I apologise for that.
Much of my public content should remain viewable on other pods if federated there, though once Joindiaspora.com is offline, interactions with content (comments, likes, reshares) will probably not be possible.
I've also privately exported my posts and will update that archive prior to the final shutdown.

Though not strictly-speaking "signal flares", I've submitted the profiles to the Internet Archive's Wayback machine (scripted via the "Save" URL) -- that part took about 90 seconds. Sorting out grabbing all the profile names and IDs from G+ HTML (and wrestling with local systems) a couple of hours.
A really good reason to pin a #signalflare post is that that pinned post WILL SHOW UP IN THE INTERNET ARCHIVE when saved.
(I'll schedule another save or few of this through April 2.)
This'd be a good set of folks to keep tabs on and through whom to find others.
