#ibm#redhat has failed #linux and in #debian pulseaudio takes up 10% (sometimes more) of my CPU capacity. This is not normal and this is not progress. #systemd even more troublesome.
Years ago after we complained that #flatpak required #systemd#redhat said that the dependency would be removed. Now, under #ibm (or before), that dependency is back.
#redhat to #ibm : we killed off some clones of #rhel like #scientificLinux and bought to control the main one, which we can now squander and squash. How much will you pay us for this vendor lock-in with #systemd etc?
"It’s a shrinking pie. Can you get a big piece? Maybe. But it’s going to be cutthroat. Go to RH if you want to stay here." #ibm wrongly assumes #redhat (RH) can somehow save it after it overpaid for a brand, some #systemd devs, #swpats and who knows what else... https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1cobxvuh
