Interesting news coming out of Turkey.. Turkish airforce bombed multiple Kurdish targets yesterday and today one of their main papers warned about Iran's plans to invade Turkey.

It's while their hypocrite leaders talk tough and strong against Israeli assault on Gaza while they keep on selling goods and fuel from Azerbaijan to IDF and Israeli government.

It's unbelievable how people still fall for their disgusting hypocrisy and double standard.

#Turkey: Central Bank Chief Moves Into Parents’ #Apartment As #Inflation Hits #Istanbul Property

Source: https://www.theheritagetimes.com/turkey-central-bank-chief-moves-into-parents-apartment-as-inflation-hits-istanbul-property/

Turkey’s central bank head, #HafizeGayeRrkan says she has been priced out of Istanbul’s property #market by rampant inflation, leaving her with no choice but to move back her parents’ apartment.

...

“Is it possible that Istanbul has gotten more expensive than #Manhattan?” she said.

I've two questions:
1) What do normal people do with a normal job and without parents or friends in Istanbul? (Are they sleeping in their office or under the bridge?)
2) Is the apartment market now only for billionaires?

theatre on the site was built in the earliest days of the Attalid Kingdom.
#Turkey
The theatre, which is the steepest theatre in Western Anatolia, has a 10 thousand-seat capacity. The theatre at Pergamum has seventy-eight rows of seats and is divided into three horizontal seating sections. The portable wooden stage building is unique – set up only on performance days and removed once the performance ended.

It has so many characteristics: 80 rows of very tall steps, with the highest situated about 36 meters above the orchestra pit; it could seat 10,000 spectators. Another interesting element is the presence of a terrace 246 meters long, a singular porticus post scaenam, with a covered Doric portico leading to the Temple of Dionysus, installed in its northernmost extremity.

it is estimated that there are around 200 underground cities in Cappadocia. Unfortunately, not all underground cities are open to visitors. Famous buildings such as Kaymaklı underground city and Özkonak underground city are open to visitors.

It is known that underground cities, which are suitable for housing approximately 30 thousand people, existed since the 8th century BC. There are shelter areas (houses), stables and even cemeteries in underground cities. These cities are equipped with a complex ventilation and communication system. These buildings were protected by doors that could not be opened from the outside and were locked with stone bolts from the inside. In buildings, there are traps in many corridors.

Why are Underground Cities in Cappadocia Built?
In his book Anabasis, which is the first written source about the Cappadocia Underground Cities, Xenophon wrote that the Sparta army accommodated in the underground cities of Kaymaklı and Derinkuyu in the campaign against the Persian king Artakserkses. The rock reliefs of the Hittite civilization on the walls of the underground cities and the underground tunnels made by the Hittites for defense proves how old the history of these cities goes.
