Jeppe High star player dies shortly after rugby match
The schools rugby community is in mourning following the death of a 16-year-old boy who collapsed and died shortly after his rugby match.

In a tragic turn of events, Kaiden Bowie collapsed on the field and the incident was witnessed by all — students, teachers and parents — who attended the match at Jeppe High.
According to reports, Bowie had felt sick during the U16 match between the Jeppe and Hoërskool Die Anker but soldiered on until the end.
The teenager collapsed shortly after the game and there was an immediate cessation of all the sporting activities as everyone in attendance gathered in prayer while Bowie was tended to by paramedics.
But despite the medical staff’s best efforts to save his life, Bowie was declared dead on the scene.
“We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of one of our learners, Kaiden Bowie (Grade 11) who tragically passed away. Further information regarding his memorial service will follow in due course,” Jeppe said in a statement on Wednesday.
All classes were halted on Wednesday, as the Department of Education made counsellors available to assist learners and teachers who witnessed the tragic incident.
“We are overwhelmed by the care and love that we, as a school, have experienced over the past 24 hours. Counsellors from many schools and organisations have prioritised our boys and staff over their own; incredible amounts of messages; the generous deliveries of flowers are all hugely appreciated,” Jeppe High said in a new statement on Thursday.

A Glasgow family have been left devastated after a 'beloved' teenager suddenly lost his life.
Tributes have poured in for Liam Stevenson, from Drumchapel, who sadly passed away on Tuesday, February 27.
Loved ones say the 18-year-old was a 'talented footballer' and he had a 'heart of pure gold'. Family members are now hoping for a minutes applause at Ibrox during Rangers' clash with Motherwell on Saturday, March 2, as a mark of respect for the massive Gers fan.
Heartbroken mum, Petrice Massey, says her world has been torn apart following the loss of her son.
She told Glasgow Live: "My only child has broke my heart into a million pieces and my life will never be the same."
Liam's aunty, Paige Massey, added: " He was a talented footballer who was loved by everyone.
"Anyone he met he didn’t pass without stopping, he had the biggest heart with the most beautiful smile and he will be missed dearly by his mum, dad, Nana, papa, granny, grandad, aunties, uncles, cousins and all his friends."
Heartbroken Paige announced the news of her teenage nephew's sad passing on Facebook.
She wrote: "Thank you for making me an aunty at the age of 11 and giving me the best memories and laughs for 18 short years.
"You were some boy with the biggest personality and heart of pure gold and I will cherish all the daft pictures and videos you hated me taking forever. Aunty Paigey loved you all of your life and I will love you till the end of mine.
"My heart is so broken in a way I didn’t think was possible. My handsome nephew Liam, until we meet again."
Many of those who knew Liam paid tribute to the 18-year-old. Glasgow youth team, Sons of Struth Football Academy, penned a post on social media dedicated to their 'one of a kind' former star.
It read: "Liam played for one of our most successful teams right up until 2020. Liam was a tremendous player who was selected to visit Benfica on a two week training course just as we entered lockdown. Unfortunately that trip never took place and we were all disappointed for him.
"We received the news earlier today of his passing and are all shocked by the news. We offer our sincere condolences to his mum Petrice and Gran Carol-Ann who were both great supporters of the club. God bless you Liam. You were one of a kind. "
The 18-year-old's friends and family are now set to gather on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal to release balloons in Liam's memory today, March 1. The family are also asking for those attending Rangers vs Motherwell at Ibrox to stand and applaud during the 18th minute as mark of respect to the football mad teen on Saturday.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help Liam's family give the 18-year-old the send off he deserves.

Limousine to the studio and then flatter them on the way to a fancy green room. "Look Lurleen we are living like genuine Hollywood movie stars!"
They would be also isolated in the green room—for hours on end—not knowing what to expect. Only to be suddenly rushed out — without warning to the stage— and introduced to the audience before broadcast and then given a huge round of applause.
The purpose for the star treatment — before the show — was to make them feel special. So, that come showtime, they would extra 'Trailer Trash it up' by being compliantly outrageous. Within their limited, unworldly consciousness they believed they were stars now, and they subconsciously wanted the star treatment to continue. When the cameras were running they would give the director what was needed, and more. This is what often led to the on-stage fights. As they were fighting to keep their 'star trip' going.
However, when the show ended they were literally thrown out the backdoor and left to find their own way to the bus terminal. Having served their purpose.
They same techniques were used to get people to abide by the Covid restrictions. Payments for staying home. A sense of being special with their digital vax passes. Constant testing. Wearing masks everywhere. To keep them in lockdown luxury and sense of being pampered. The "heroes" dancing in music videos like "genuine Hollywood movie stars..."
