The same #AppleTree as before but a different #pollinator. This #insect is a #bumblebee which was visiting the #blossoms. They sometimes spend quite a while on each #flower but this one was flitting from one to another spending barely a second on each. Thus, this #photograph was one of several I took. The #AppleTree is in bloom and there are various #arthropods are frequenting it. This #wasp was wandering over the #AppleBlossom. You can see the #Pollen collected on its back #legs.
Meanwhile, this little #spider was on a nearby #leaf. You can see that it is quite well #camouflaged.

The temperature overnight dropped to -5 °C and so there was another hard #frost when I woke up as has been the case over the past few days.
The outside of the #windows of the #conservatory were covered with #ice #crystals which had formed an interesting pattern on the #GlassPanes.
Moving #outside, the #AppleTree still has some of its leaves on it but there is layer of #frost on them.
#Water has #frozen solid in this #bucket, like a huge #IceCube.
#Grass is likewise affected with ice on individual #blades.
Meanwhile the #LastQuarter #phase of the #Moon passes by standing vigil over the icy scene.
As do a couple of #HouseSparrow observing from a #rooftop.
Last #harvest of #2021. Here are the last #apples from the #AppleTree for this year. Much more than I expected -- there were 117 in this last batch, including all sizes, some infested with #worms but I reckon there's about three months' worth of supply here.

I confess to having an #AppleADay habit and over the past few weeks have been eating the #fruit of our own #AppleTree. I went out and picked a few more for the coming weeks. The sizes vary of course and the bigger ones are maybe 160 g. Most are surprisingly unblemished.
