…so I was up in the wee hours the other morning flying past Gloria’s sweetgum tree and guess who I saw flapping out the back way?
- Who?
Harry!
- our Mable’s Harry?
None other.
- Did you tell Mable?
Oh she’s not speaking to me ever since I tried to give her some suggestions for fixing up her dump-heap of a nest, called me a molting old busy-body!
- she’s got some nerve!
Can you believe it?

I Gotta Feeling, Someone's Watching Me 🎶I don't know why I kept this image. The birds are completely out of focus, but they are arranged in-line like a council of elders looking down on me. What are, are pigeons waiting for me to go inside so that they can hit the feeder.

You won't find this photo in my gallery, but you can still visit at:

"The scene captures a natural setting, with a focus on a sturdy tree branch. Several birds are perched on this thick arched branch, their silhouettes outlined against the bright blue sky. The foliage surrounding the birds is dense, with an abundance of leaves providing cover and shade.

Unfortunately, due to the backlighting and the birds’ positioning, it’s challenging to discern specific species or plumage details. However, we can appreciate the collective presence of these avian visitors, showcasing their social behavior and habitat preferences.

In summary, this image portrays a serene moment in the avian world—a congregation of birds seeking refuge on a sunlit branch, framed by the vibrant sky. For now, Bramble is hanging around close to the nest site, but will shortly begin to wander further afield in search of a territory. Bramble is now adept at catching food, including flies & fast-moving spiders, so stands a good chance of survival.
