Why #Russia will never attack the #EU:

I know there is a lot of #military and patriotic #propaganda out there and the military industrial complex is on the rise because everyone wants to arm themselves because of the Russian #threat.

Let's pause for a moment and think about the reasons why #war is still being waged today:

1) The number one reason is still #religion. Religion serves to unite one's own #community, but is also always a demarcation against others. In Europe and Russia, religion only plays a subordinate role and the churches are struggling with insignificance.

2) The second important reason is natural #resources. Western Europe has long since used up its natural resources and is therefore plundering other countries, mainly in #Africa. Russia has enough natural resources of its own.

3) Population growth so that new living spaces are needed. In #Europe and #Russia, the #population is declining. As a result, many families only have one child and they don't want to lose it to the war.

4) Important geostrategic positions. Europe is losing importance. Russia's most important trading partners are in #Asia. Europe is strategically insignificant.

Europe is increasingly losing importance and therefore wants to feel important militarily. For Russia, an attack would bring no advantage and only high losses. Russia can infiltrate the weakened political system in Europe much more easily by manipulating elections and causing social unrest with propaganda. This hybrid warfare is much more successful than an open war.

#Aswad
#peelsession
Aswad formed around 1975 in the West London area. Steel Pulse formed that same year and had greater success in Jamaica and America but still, Aswad was without doubt a major band in Britain in the 1970's and 80's. They released many albums and were very popular in Japan where they achieved gold and platinum sales. In the late 80's they ventured into pop territory which lost some of their original roots fans. But their early roots LP's are wonderful and should be heard by everyone.
Once again John Peel grabs a band just starting out. All four songs here are from Aswad's eponymous debut album in 1976.
This is an important Peel showing the flowering of #roots reggae in England. Aswad was joined by Steel Pulse, Cimarons, Misty In Roots, Matumbi, Black Slate, Capitol Letters, Black Roots and Linton Kwesi Johnson among others.

For the first time absolutely first class reggae was being created outside Jamaica.

Burkina Faso is fighting against a "Machiavellian system" created by the West, a Burkinabe activist says

💬 "Our enemy here [in Africa], we don't hide it, it's #France, it's #NATO. Our enemies are those who created international #terrorism by destroying #Libya and executing its leader, Colonel Muammar #Gaddafi," the Black African Defense League Coordinator in Burkina Faso Abdoul Sawadogo told Sputnik Africa.

On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Burkina Faso's independence, which was celebrated on December 11, Ibrahim Traore denounced in his address to the nation the "imperialists" who seek to keep the people of Burkina Faso "in slavery".

🗣 "We are victims of our wealth, the wealth that imperialists want to seize at all costs, aiming to keep us in slavery. We will secure it," Traore declared from the Barsalogho town hall.

This is an important statement because it reaffirms Burkina Faso's determination to remain a sovereign and independent country in the face of external pressures, Sawadogo emphasized.

💬 "President Traore is basically addressing the former colonial powers and any entities that may try to interfere in Burkina Faso's internal affairs," the activist concluded.

King Tut's Dagger Is 'Out of This World'

One of the most astounding discoveries in Tutankhamun's tomb was a 34-centimeter long dagger made of iron and decorated with gold. The dagger had been discovered during the 1925 unwrapping of the mummy. But the age of the burial - Tutankhamun was pharaoh from 1332 to 1323 BCE - predated Egypt's Iron Age by more than 2000 years.

A preliminary non-destructive analysis performed in 1970 with X-rays showed high levels of nickel, suggesting that the dagger was made from extraterrestrial metal. In addition, the quality of the blade indicates that it was made using a type of fine-crystallized metal as found in some types of meteorites.

Before the development of high-temperature-furnaces, meteorites were the only source of native iron accessible to early civilizations. Unable to fuse or melt the metal, the ancient blacksmiths hammered the pieces of meteoritic iron into shape.

But the origin of the meteorite used for King Tut’s dagger remained a mystery. In June 2016, a paper compared the blade to an iron meteorite with similar proportions of iron, nickel and cobalt discovered near and named after Kharga Oasis. The dagger's metal was presumably from the same meteor shower. But some researchers noted that the chemical fingerprint didn't match exactly.

A new study published in the journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science by researchers from Japan and Egypt suggests an alternative origin and locality. Chemical analysis shows a high concentration of iron, nickel, manganese and traces of sulfur. This is consistent with meteoritic metal. The study also confirms the existence of Widmanstätten patterns on the blade, a unique pattern of intergrown metallic minerals found only in meteorites. The research concludes that the metal used to make the dagger comes from an octahedrite meteorite, the most common class of iron meteorites.

The new chemical analysis alone doesn't provide clues where this meteorite originated. However, letters preserved on clay tablets found in Upper Egypt at el-Amarna, and dated to the New Kingdom between 1360–1332 BCE coinciding with Tutankhamun's birth, describe an iron dagger given as a gift by the King of Mitanni - what is now #Syria - to #Egypt.

It is not entirely clear if the ancient Egyptians knew of the extraterrestrial origin of the used metal. Texts dating to 1300 BCE refer to iron as a gift "from the sky," but this might be symbolic speech, describing the rare and precious metal as a gift from the gods and so of heavenly origin.

Police May have shot dead 50 as Mozambique poll demonstrations continue

Mozambique police have reportedly shot dead seven demonstrators and wounded a dozen others in Namicopo, the most densely populated in Nampula. With these victims, the number killed by police is approaching 50 since the demonstrations began on October 21, 2024.

There seems to be no end in sight for the country's post-election violence as the opposition Podemos party leader, Venancio Mondlane, announced three more days of protests. Mondlane also urged protesters to "invoke the right to self-defense", while the government warned of possible military intervention.

The #BRICS leaders attended an informal dinner party.

Russia is holding a BRICS meeting with surprise visitors El Sisi of #Egypt and so called president of #Palestine Mohamed Abbas. Even #Turkey and #NorthKorea have sent delegates to the meeting and several African nations have also shown interest in joining the system. It is unclear if they announce any new members after this meeting, but it sure going to have a major impact on #dedolirization of the world economy.

The criminal reaction of Europe and US to freeze and confiscate assets of Russian citizens, not just state funds have woken up the world that they can't trust the west following their own rules and relying on them is nothing but a false feeling of safety.

One can cruise the origin of those frozen assets, but they are not much different than most of the wealth of criminal leaders of various countries who live a safe and protected life in #Europe and #US.
