Deputy Justice of East #Azarbaijan province of #Iran: Residence of #Afghan nationals is prohibited in a number of provinces, including East Azarbaijan, even with residence permits.

The level of #racism and #discrimination against afghans is reaching new level. Many of them have lived all their lives in Iran and never been to Afghanistan, bit they can never receive Iranian citizenship, much less having the right to live wherever they want. Many afghan children can't even get a birth certificate, specially if one of the parents is Iranian.

Iranians who proud themselves of being friendly and welcoming, have an extreme hate against people from neighboring countries, specially those from #Afghanistan.

Discrimination against Afghan refugees, even those who lived in Iran more than 40 years, never ends.

The children of afghans living in the country are not treated any better.

Majority of these kids were born in Iran and don't know any other place to call home, but for the Iranian regime (and sadly the majority of the citizens) they are never treated as their own.

Every year, the toddlers have to receive a new card ("Yekta" in Farsi that means Unique) to allow them to go to school. The card is hard to get and in many cases, families have to spend long hours, even days in line in order to receive the stamp and transfer of their identity number to the new card that cost them more than what many of them make in a week.

As the new school year is only a few days away, 1000 of these pupils are in limbo because of the problems of IRI officials to give them their new ID cards. Without one, they won't be able to sign up for the school abd start their classes.

After the fall of Taliban, IRI regime pretended that they would allow female students of all age to go to school in Iran without difficulties, but that wasn't an empty promise, like so many of the past that didn't materialized pass the extreme racism and xenophobic maze of IRI government handling of "undesired" refugees.

بر اساس اخبار منتشر شدە، برخی افراد کد یکتا دارند اما مجبورند در صف بایستند تا با پرداخت مبلغی، این کد را روی یک برگه دیگر دریافت کنند و باز هم برای ثبت نام مدرسه با مشکلات دیگری مواجه می‌شوند.
به نظر می‌رسد، سیستم جدید برای ثبت‌نام دانش‌آموزان افغان امسال نیز مانند سال‌های گذشته روندی آسان نیست. از اظهارات مسئولان نیز برمی‌آید که شیوه جدید حتی برای شماری از ادارات هم هنوز روشن نیست.

آموزش و پرورش درج شناسه یکتا «۱۰ رقمی» برای ثبت‌نام دانش‌آموزی اتباع خارجی در سامانه هوشمند مدیریت اتباع و مهاجرین سازمان ملی مهاجرت را الزامی اعلام کرده است.
