Jerry Garcia & Howard Wales - Hooteroll? (1971) [Full Album]

So Grateful Dead mastermind Jerry Garcia joins forces with Howard's electric hammond organ to make this quirky psychedelic jazz fusion gem. What drew me initially to this album was Mati Klarwein's beautiful visionary artwork, you can see some of his pieces in albums such as Miles Davis' Bitches Brew, Live Evil or Santana's Abraxas. The album speaks for itself, its rather varied, having electrified moments as well as some folk leanings at certain parts, as in typical Garcia fashion. If you dig this style make sure to check the live gigs these two did during 71'-72', as with most improvising musicians their strong suit is not the studio but the live experience.
