Wandering my garden this morning & I swear my cucumbers have tripled in size since I pointed them out to my granddaughter on Friday. They keep growing this fast I’ll have one or two on Christmas Day! The tomatoes don’t seem to be doing as well unfortunately. Not that much fruit on them 🤷🏼‍♀️. Second year running I haven’t had much success with them. There will be fruit, just not a bounty 🙁. #Garden
I did have one little treat that I spied outside on one of the outdoor blinds. A beautiful Australian Emperor Dragonfly, stunning against the grey of the blind with its shiny fragile wings - absolutely perfect, almost unreal. Made my morning #Insects.
Visiting my sister this morning & she has visitors, the former wife of her son & her family have arrived for Christmas & I’m looking forward to that catch up. Great people.

Neuer Abend, nach einem langen kurzen Tag. Erster Blick in die Woche, unvermeidbar. Gegenüber wurde das Wohnzimmer mit Lichterketten dekoriert, Schatten von Gästen ziehen über kleine helle Punkte. Zigarettenrauch, flackernde Kerzen, Wolkenrisse. Die Himmel: Mond, ein weicher Schleier vor dunkler Ferne. Im Kopf Antworten formuliert auf Dinge, die aufwühlen. Mehrere Korrekturen, viel mehr Unruhe, bis zum Atmen gegen Resignation und fehlendes Verständnis. Noch nicht gleichgültig genug. Trotz aller Hilflosigkeit. (Have a soothing night wherever you are.)

Weiter und den Tag einmal umrundet. Etwas Nebel überstand die Zeit, Gesicht spannt von feuchtkaltem Dunst und der Sonne dazwischen. Zurückkehren, während der Abend schon wieder die Farben stiehlt, das Viertel blass und grau werden lässt. Heizung, Kerze, eigene Schatten, unten spielt man Flöte. Das eigenartige Gefühl später Sonntagnachmittage, mit viel zu vielen Ideen und trotzdem ohne große Motivation.
