Playing with a photo group's theme of the month: "At work".
Along with some obvious choices (construction, markets, etc.) I settled on this "life imitating art imitating life - and work"...

Seeing this painting "develop" and this photo now, I'm reminded of the stepwise work of @kennychaffin@diasp.org ! :))

Another image I chose is an old(er) favorite from long ago, on Kodachrome, The Turkish Peach Peddler.

Turkish Peach Peddler

So, there's a little slice - oh yes, pizza making was in the mix too! - of some old & new #work

Much more - despite the demolition of Google+, where I had 8 years off photo collections - remains on my own vintage site:

Just dug this out for a photography event with the theme: "Work"
One of my favorite vintage shots here, on Kodachrome (KM)

Istanbul Panorama

The second photo (above) is in Istanbul, a view of the historical 16th-Century mosque, Süleymaniye Mosk.
These photographs were taken while crossing the Bosphorus by ferry boat, on the water which divides Europe from Asia.

Speaking of Paris....

I've been finding my vintage film and slide/diapositive images of Paris, and seeing a few digital scans I made & never posted (I think).
This is the Basilique Du Sacré Coeur (Sacred Heart Basilica) atop Montmarte, at night.

This was with Hi-speed #Ektachrome, hand-held with only a flash. (Nice flash, I guess, SunPak).

All of my Paris images are 'vintage' now, mostly #Kodachrome and some VPS a some Fujichrome, maybe a bit of AGFA. Ahhh...

May need to do a re-do/refresh, on both my web collection and reflecting the many changes in #Paris and #Photography.

My Google+ Collection, obviously, was extinguished;
A few 'vintage favorites' remain on Flickr, and chez moi ( #fenfotos ) @ http://www.fenichel.com/Paris.shtml

An over-due "two-fer"....

Between a recent re-acquaintance with the Paul Simon song "Kodachrome" (on a satellite classic vinyl channel while driving)
and several recent conversations of foods - from snacks to regional favorites & desserts, and infinity in between... Ahh...

How One Man is Striving to Keep the Look of Kodachrome 64 Alive | The Phoblographer

“Trawling through blogs and reviews, it because apparent that digital Kodachrome emulation is highly contentious,” says photographer Freddie Child-Villiers to The Phoblographer in an email interview. Freddie is the man behind the Kodachrome project–an attempt at keeping the look of Kodachrome alive and authentic. “…Some users want an accurate reproduction (Jamie Windsor’s being the best that I’ve tested). Others want a look of imagery one would expect from Magnum Photos or National Geographic pages; this is where The Kodachrome Project leans.” Like many folks, Freddie has done a ton of research on Kodachrome. And his project is truly starting to take off.

Look at how gorgeous these photos are and you'll understand why so many photographers want to emulate Kodachrome 64 film.
