Leurs travaux ont ouvert la voie aux vaccins à ARN messager et permis de sauver de nombreuses personnes et probablement, dans le futur, de sauver des personnes qui seraient condamnés avec les technologies médicales actuelles.

Au passage, le cas de Katalin Kariko est vraiment exemplaire. Elle a pris le risque de migrer hors de sa Hongrie natale alors sous le totalitarisme communiste soviétique, quand cela était interdit par la dictature, afin de pouvoir mener à bien ses travaux en Occident.
Elle n'était pourtant pas encore au bout de sa peine, car aux États-Unis, ses supérieurs, tous masculins évidemment, essayèrent de la placardiser. Elle réussit finalement à convaincre ses confrères, grâce à sa rigueur et son honnêteté.

Un jeune médecin qui travaillait avec elle, aujourd'hui directeur d'hôpital, David Langer témoigne : " Kati n’est pas seulement un génie scientifique, c’est aussi une femme d’une droiture absolue."

Voilà : On est bien loin de tous les mensonges lancés par les antivax et autres covidosceptiques, idiots abusés par la propagande commanditée par le Kremlin (ou peut-être pire : payés en kopecks)

The event was called “The Romance of a People.” It was organized by the Zionist Organization of America, sponsored by the #Jewish Agency for #Palestine, and produced by Meyer Weisgal, with help from Rabbi Solomon Goldman as well as Maurice Samuel, the author of “You Gentiles.” One of the big speakers at the event was none other than Chaim #Weismann, first president of Israel and the guy who alongside Lionel Walter #Rothschild authored the #Balfour Declaration, which was the agreement that dragged the US into WW1 in exchange for the British stealing Palestine from Ottoman Turkey and allowing Jews to settle there.
