AEA BETHLEHEM SHELTER - Promoting animal welfare

AEA Bethlehem Shelter

Animal Environment Associated (AEA) in #Bethlehem #Palestine is the only animal #shelter situated in the #WestBank. Founded by Diana Babish in 2016, the organisation provides a safe environment for thousands of #dogs and #cats and works with the local authorities to prevent the poisoning and shooting of dogs as a brutal form of animal control. AEA-Bethlehem is the only shelter that provides #treatment to injured dogs, cats and other #animals, and arranges formal animal #fostering and adaptions. They also provide #spay and #neutering services to the animals in their care, and to those who will be adopted. AEA-Bethlehem is also working to change policies that allow the abuse and the poisoning of dogs without penalty and for vets that witness these atrocities to be held accountable.. AEA-Bethlehem receives no government #funding, relying completely on urgently needed #donations. They also encourage local people to #volunteer at the shelter and visit schools to educate children about #AnimalWelfare and the #environment.
