Russell T. Davies has announced a new "Doctor Who" spin-off, "The War Between The Land And The Sea." The show will star Russell Tovey and Gugu Mbatha Raw. Both have appeared in the series in the past, but will play new roles. Jemma Redgrave will be back as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, and Alexander Devrient returns as Colonel Ibrahim. I've not been a fan of the Chibnall era to say the least, but I did enjoy this finale. Lots packed in but not too frantic, a good fast pace but not breakneck speed. The whole miserable, accusative tone that became the hallmark of the most recent series is gone and we're back to something fun again. Looking forward to the return of Russel T. Davies, though he'll still need to undo the whole Timeless Child nonsense, which was just daft.
