#ingress

You gotta love travel advice on travel.stackexchange.com. This innocuous question "How to spend 19:00 to 1:00 in Kiel?" (a city in Germany's north) is replied to in this fashion:

No disrespect to Kiel, but it's really boring. A long time ago on an Interrail, I went to Kiel, figuring that at least it must have a good WWII museum given it was one of the main U-boat pens, but no, it was totally demolished. You can get more period nostalgia by playing Rammstein "Reise, Reise" and having someone slap you in the face with a wet herring. And you'd still have a herring.

How rude. :D No more Germans don't have humour. We do! And we have herrings!!

Other than that, I liked Kiel quite a bit when I went there, on several occasions. But nightlife, without hanging around students today I'd have a hard time killing time if it weren't for #ingress.

Just started to play #ingress slowly building my level up (now 5) and even found unattended portals which I started to look after. There are some opposition portals close to me but they belong to someone with lvl.16 so I try to stay away not to stir anything. Recently he, somehow found my portals ?, and destroyed everything. I have no chance at the present to fight anything because all the portals I find are with highest resonators, turrets and shields. It kind of sucks for someone who just wants to play and just started. Everyone here plays this game for years now. i wish this game was more welcome for newbes.
