It's a year since the 7th October Hamas attack on Israel. The horrible massacres, the devastating response causing so much death in Gaza, and the ongoing fighting in Gaza, Israel and extending now to Lebanon have been a lot to bear. I’ve been processing pain, grief, anger, and frustration, trying to find hope.

Predictably, #antisemitism has spiked in Europe this week. Recorded incidents in the UK have quadrupled, while two synagogues were vandalised with pro-Palestinian graffiti in Spain and Portugal. Some #Jewish schools are closed and others have increased security.
Yes, of course it's possible to criticise #Israel without being antisemitic. But it's important to recognise how deeply the two are intertwined. #jewdiverse

Here's a short story (~1000 words) that I submitted to #Jewish #Futures, a forthcoming #SciFi collection. Sadly not successful. It's written from the perspective of a young #Jew just before their coming of age ceremony, living on a distant colony in the far future. It's called Forgive Me.
