The Biden administration has informed the Israeli occupation that it was not involved in the FBI's decision to open a probe into the killing of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, according to several news reports.

Isn't that re assuring? Biden doesn't want to piss off Netanyahu!

Imagine a US senator being outraged not about the killing of a US citizen on foreign soil but about a USG decision to investigate that killing. It’s pretty astounding if you think about it.

An independent investigation has found that the killing of journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli soldiers was ‘deliberate’ - uncovering evidence that an Israeli sniper repeatedly shot at her and those who tried to rescue her

She was not pure blood American aa one of the comments on Reddit said.

And she was killed by the only democracy in the middle east and criticizing them would not be in the interests of US or EU plus it is Anti semitic to let the world know that Israel has a standing policy of targeting and killing Palestinian reporters in the past 30 years.

B'Tselem in response to the military's announcement on the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh:

It's not an investigation, it's whitewash; it was no mistake, it's policy.

Enormous public and international pressure was needed to make Israel spurt a faint confession that one of its soldiers had killed journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, while at the same time shaking off any responsibility for her death.

The killing of Abu Akleh is the predictable result of Israel’s outrageous open fire policy in the Occupied Territories. This policy claims more and more victims while the whitewash continues undisturbed.

The Israeli army said Monday there was a "high possibility" that Palestinian-American reporter Shireen Abu Akleh was shot dead by an Israeli soldier who mistook her for a militant.

I should go back and ask those who blamed the Palestinians for her murder for an apology.

But I'm sure they will find an excuse to blame it on Palestinians again.
