Another "salt drift" in #Ottawa today. This one is about four inches (10 cm) high. I never know if I should report these as a chemical spill. The salt is intensely destructive to plants, metal, etc.

This #grader is what is used here in #Ottawa to bury the ends of everyone's driveways. If it isn't quickly dug out it fast compresses into solid ice under most conditions.
I know @clarice@diaspora.glasswings.com and some other D* friends here in warmer climes find this stuff interesting! For us it is a good workout.
