War ’ne Geburt. Ich hab’s nicht ganz alleine geschafft. Aber bis auf das vefi**te „Musik“ läuft alles ganz gut. Und da hab ich sehr viel problematischere Software gehabt. Das hatte ich zumindest angfangs gedacht.
Ist mir unverständlich, wie man das nette iTunes von vor 10 Jahren in so einen Mist verwandeln konnte.
Wenn das heute wieder nicht ordentlich mit der Bibliothek funktioniert, muss ich mir mal ’ne Alternative suchen.

On connait en France la candidature de Coluche commencée comme un gag. On connaît moins celle du jazzman Dizzy Gillespie en 1964. Un précurseur qui a titillé un temps le jeu des grands candidats, mobilisant autour de la question des droits civiques aux États-Unis.
Le 21 septembre 1963, le #trompettiste #DizzyGillespie, 47 ans, grande figure du #jazz, lance sa candidature à la Présidence sur scène au #Monterey Jazz Festival. Près de 10 000 spectateurs assistent au concert, médusés et amusés, découvrant le morceau Vote #Dizzy ! interprété par le chanteur #JonHendricks. Pour le trompettiste facétieux, c'est plus sérieux qu'il n'y paraît. Alors que l'Amérique espère la réélection de JFK, le pays est laminé par des actes racistes et la #ségrégation, en particulier dans le sud du pays. Cinq jours plutôt a eu lieu un terrible attentat à la bombe dans une église de Birmingham tuant 4 jeunes filles noires. Régulièrement des militants afro-américains sont attaqués ou assassinés. Des crimes signés du Klan dont les auteurs restent libres.
Choqué par cette violence, Dizzy veut faire entendre sa voix. Cette candidature a en fait commencé dès 1960 comme une blague et un moyen de collecter des fonds pour le CORE (Congrès pour l'égalité raciale) et d'autres organisations de défense des droits civiques avec l'édition de badges "Dizzy Gillespie for President". Les mois passent, le #racisme se poursuit sous de multiples formes, les changements se font attendre pour la communauté afro-américaine, le refus d'accès aux universités dans le sud et à l'emploi, les jeunes envoyés dans l'enfer du Vietnam, ainsi que pour tous les laissés pour compte de la politique sociale américaine. Même sous l'ère Kennedy la désillusion est vive.

Le 28 août 1963, Martin Luther King prononce son célèbre "I Have a dream" lors de la marche vers Washington. Sur une photo de la foule ce jour-là, aux côté de #JamesBaldwin, Gillespie remarque un couple portant son badge. Ce clin d'œil du destin le pousse à s'engager dans la course présidentielle. Il crée une équipe de campagne menée par deux femmes, #RamonaCrowell, communicante habile membre de la communauté sioux, et #JeanGleason, épouse du critique musical #RalphGleason. En quelques semaines, grâce au réseau des organisations du mouvement des droits civiques, elle est en mesure de lancer des comités dans 25 états, une mobilisation étonnante pour un candidat indépendant.

Il est profondément sincère, sans jamais craindre d'exprimer ce qu'il pense. Par ailleurs, il a été toujours évident que Dizzy n'allait pas abandonner sa carrière musicale… pas pour devenir un politicien en tous cas. Il s'engage pour ce en quoi il croit et il a bien raison." The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) recently spotted an exceedingly rare find: a barreleye fish (Macropinna microstoma). This strange deep-sea dweller has a transparent head it sees through with its tubular eyes.
MBARI uses a pair of remotely operated vehicles (ROV), the Ventana and the Doc Rickets , to survey the ocean at various depths. In the more than 5,600 successful dive missions and more than 27,600 hours of video, the team has only ever seen this fish a scant nine times.
Aquarist Tommy Knowles and his team were aboard MBARI’s R/V Rachel Carson with our ROV Ventana to collect jellies and comb jellies for the Aquarium’s upcoming Into the Deep exhibition when they spotted this fascinating fish. The team stopped to marvel at Macropinna before it swam away.
The barreleye is a particularly unique species of fish. It lives in what is called the twilight zone of the ocean at depths of 2,000 to 2,600 feet. That deep, light comes at a premium and different species have developed unusual traits to adapt to the environment. Of those, MBARI says that the barreleye is one of the most bizarre.
The barreleye (Macropinna microstoma) has extremely light-sensitive eyes that can rotate within a transparent, fluid-filled shield on its head. The fish's tubular eyes are capped by bright green lenses. The eyes point upward (as shown here) when the fish is looking for food overhead. They point forward when the fish is feeding. The two spots above the fish's mouth are olfactory organs called nares, which are analogous to human nostrils.
"Two small indentations where eyes might normally appear on a fish are actually the barreleye’s olfactory organs, and its eyes are two glowing green orbs behind its face that gaze up towards the top of its head," MBARI explains.
The barreleye doesn't get particularly large and has an estimated maximum size of just six inches long. It is known to exist between the Bering Sea to Japan as well as Baja California.
The research team had previously shown that the fish can rotate its eyes towards the front to see its food when eating. Before that, scientists believed that the fish had its gaze permanently fixed upwards, which would be helpful to it as the fish is believed to often hover below a siphonophore’s tentacles to steal food.
"Its eyes look upwards to spot its favorite prey -- usually small crustaceans trapped in the tentacles of siphonophores -- from the shadows they cast in the faint shimmer of sunlight from above."
MBARI is working with the Monterey Bay Aquarium to bring deep-sea creatures to its Into the Deep exhibit set to launch in the spring of 2022, though it's not clear if the barreleye will make an appearance. The organization has set up a detailed webpage on the rare fish for those interested in learning more about one of the ocean's most bizarre creatures.

If you want it, the quick way is to download it from the "Dynamic Wallpaper" link at the URL at the bottom of this article, unzip the downloaded file, go to your /Library folder and create a subfolder called "Desktop Pictures". Copy the downloaded .heic file into this folder. Now, right-click on your desktop and click Change Desktop Background. In the left-hand pane, navigate to Apple/Desktop Pictures, and select the background with the cypress tree. It should default to being Dynamic, but if not, just choose that from the dropdown to the right of the thumbnail.
