It is so common that is not surprising any more. Their cost of operation keeps getting cheaper, and they keep increasing their charges.
So freaking sick of it.
These are toasted bread I used to buy for €1.99 last year. (Sorry not a good picture)
The electronic tag said €3.18 and advertising now for ¢3.65 a box.

The shit show about Ukraine products were needed in Africa and they were blaming Russia for starving Africans to gain popularity.
Guess what, the price of maze and barley has gone up almost 300-600% in most African nations. 10s of millions are at the edge of starvation, and 33 out of 34 ships with Ukraine grains were not sent to Africa.
These will be repacked, re labeled and then sent to Africa after the 2 or 3 brokers in between take their cut.
And when it finally arrives at destination, it will be sold at the new price, not the ones they were sold 6 months ago.

I use a few kilos of fawa beans per month. Both for cooking and for snack (old habit from my childhood in Iran) instead of potato chips and other processed snacks.
I used to buy 1kg of it for 1.80 to 2.30 depending on the shop.
This is 800g, the cheapest one i could find and cost now 3.99 (3 weeks ago it was 2.99).
It truly upsetting how they jack up the prices. Because for sure, the farmers are not getting any part of these massive price hikes.
