Back then in, I think 1993, an airship over Berlin announced a Pink Floyd concert to be coming up in 1994 for P.U.L.S.E. I too bought a ticket and saw the show on the Maifeld (see backlog).
This documentary by TV station 3sat sums up a few bits of the effort, like 5 days of stage building and the days after the show, and what it all meant for both the city and crew members. I watched parts of the construction work, and saw some of the trucks drive by, as I went to school in the area, at least close enough. (If you're a speaker of the English language, the film does have subtitles for you, some of them funny.) Fun fact: my friend's parents live close enough to hear the full concert "in excellent quality" from their garden.
