После долгих лет неудачных попыток культовая британская рок-группа Pink Floyd согласилась продать свои права на издание музыки, название и символику компании Sony Music примерно за 400 миллионов долларов, об этом подтвердили источники Variety..

Сделка, одна из крупнейших за последние годы, очевидно, наконец-то состоялась, несмотря на десятилетия постоянных междоусобиц и словесных перепалок между участниками группы.

Сделка включает в себя права на записанную музыку, но не на авторство песен, которые принадлежат отдельным авторам, а также на имя и символику, которые включают в себя товарные, театральные и аналогичные права. Хотя Pink Floyd были знамениты своей анонимностью, предполагается, что большинство, если не все культовые обложки их альбомов, которые в основном были разработаны британской фирмой Hipgnosis, также включены в это соглашение.
