Free app Actions adds nearly 150 features to Apple Shortcuts

Highlights include many tools for converting units, a bunch of system integrations for checking things like whether a particular Bluetooth device or Wi-Fi device is connected, and a bunch of features for working with images and lists. The application works for both mobile devices, including the iPhone and iPad, as well as Macs. A few of the actions only work on one or the other but the vast majority work on all devices.

To get started, simply install the application and create a new shortcut. The best way to get a feel for the new abilities is to go to Shortcuts, create a new shortcut, and browse the actions by app. You’ll find everything under “Shortcuts”.

Good Morning Shortcut Routine for iOS

I was pretty used to saying “OK Google Good Morning” and this type of morning routine just worked on Android and wit Google Home. Apple’s iOS has no such default, so you really need to create your own routine in Shortcuts from scratch. On the plus side, you have 100% control over what you’d like to include.

There are a few videos already that do tutorials on the individual steps, but what I’ll do is share a link to download my Good Morning routine, which you can import and edit. In the video I’ll demo the shortcut being used, and then I’ll talk you though the action elements that are included to give you an idea of what to edit (name, RSS feeds, a key date, etc).

Install Copy as Markdown for Chrome & Firefox:

With a right-click you can copy:

• Current Tab Title + URL as a link
• A Hyperlink in page
• An Image in page, with alternative text
• All tabs in current window as a list of links (click the toolbar button)

Super useful diaspora pages you've never seen : liked and commented

Pages you like (<3) can be used to show interest to others and also to keep as favorites for later. However, reading those liked pages in "My activity" is a problem because there are lots of other things there.
