“We have employed several weed management tactics this first year. Deep mulch #composting being one. Where that system isn’t in place, we use hoes and hand #weeding to mitigate weeds. Our long term weed management goal is to keep the #soil covered, planted, and nutrient balanced, hopefully decreasing weed pressure over time. To open new plots, we employ #silagetarps which remain in place for months at a time.
