I sent a rant to our minister for disarmament. I have little faith in the dick, he used to be minister of housing and promised 100000 houses but they built 100 I think maybe less.

He belongs to the labour party which stood against Australia, America, England and France in denouncing the use of nuclear weapons

I look back at the people who ruled us over time and even though I didn't like a lot of what they did they had backbone and at one point we stood against the madness, we could smell the uranium on their breath. Now we are just ruled by servile slugs.who only follow commands to finish the enslavement of the people.

I have been writing to these dicks and the media for two reasons. One is to show that they are not unopposed in their plans and two for my own selfish reason. One day if we survive this madness I can at least raise my hand and say I tried and if they come for me in the morning I won't go willingly but I will go because someone has to.

So here is my rant.

Dear Mr Phil Twyford

I wrote an email to Jo Luxton as she is nominally my representative about what plans the new zealand government has if a nuclear war were to break out. The generic reply from her office gave me no comfort.

So I am writing to you.

When I was young the threat of nuclear war was always there and now the threat has come back. When the cold War ended there was the promise of a peace dividend when the weapons of war would no longer suck all our money and wealth.

It never really turned out that way did it and as much as the propaganda would have us believe we older people who read widely know that when one nation spends over 10 times more then their alleged enemy we start to see who the real enemy of peace is.

Anyway you are the minister of disarmament so I would hope you are aware of the history of New Zealand and the people who stood against the idea of nuclear weapons you may even be vaguely aware of the consequences of these weapons . You might know that it doesn't really matter what your race, ethnicity, political views or the share prices are when you are being evaporated or starving in some desolate wasteland.

I would have hoped that when your government was faced with the rather large issue between Russia and Ukraine you would have approached it in a calm detached way and taking into account the histories of the countries and the actions of each stepped up to offer or demand some negotiations to take place.

Of course there have been discussions and they resulted in the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements which Russia did try to comply with but Ukraine, with the complicity of certain Western countries, chose not to and since 2014 had continued to indiscriminately shell civilians. I suppose in our hearts we know that there are good and bad civilians don't we.

So here we are and the reason I am writing. Today while watching a summary of the military operations the commentator pointed out that the Russian military has come to a point where they have a choice. Ukraine will not surrender nor negotiate and the west, which we are part of, is sending an endless stream of weapons into Ukraine and at some point very soon this will cause a stalemate, or worse for Russia, a defeat. If you care to read the Rand corporation report on this this was the plan after which the west would depose the Russian government and install a puppet and maybe break the country into 5 units for better control. Is it a conspiracy if a corporation puts it in writing?

A while ago Mr Putin was commenting about western aggression and he made the comment that everyone will die but we, the Russian people, will die martyrs. I don't know if you read or heard this but I would have expected those with power would have taken notice.

So this again brings me back to you. It's in your job description and you take money from the working people for this job. We, the people, no longer have power due to four decades of neoliberal enslavement. You might have noticed the last few angry slaves banging on your door before your propaganda machine erases them from memory but you still have a title and some vague power. So why are you so silent in the face of the coming nuclear annihilation?

I read an article about the 7% food production loss should there be a nuclear war but I don't think these people thought this through. The US government did a report that showed 90% of the US population would be dead in 6 months if the electrical system failed due to a nuclear strike. Do you not think the electrical systems will fail in many parts of the world when we go nuclear along with any semblance of civility. You might be hoping the destruction will be limited to Ukraine and Russia but I suspect Russia will spread some loving back to those whose hubris blinds them.

Maybe Russia will only nuke Kiev or is that Kyiv I really don't care what language you choose to manipulate the propaganda in I only care about the future of humanity. Many years ago there was a war to end all wars and we sent many men to die for a king but there were some who refused to die for the power of a few. Archibald Baxter wrote about it, you might be aware of him, it took great courage to stand against the state and the power they weild but he never bowed. Do you have any courage? Or will you tow the political line? Meek until our death.

Please don't reply to this I can't stand the generic garbage that years of political or communication studies at university produce. Your reply will be in you actions and you actions must be loud and clear even at the risk of being tied to a pole on the frontline like Mr Baxter. Again we the people no longer have a voice nor power thanks to the decades of neoliberal enslavement, do you still have a voice or will.
